Charmi Mehta is an emerging Toronto based artist. Mehta's work mainly reflects on India and its people, places, textile, spirituality and everything that adds positivity to her life. Her style revolves around a feather like symbol inspired by peacock which depicts divinity and strength. She prefers to use different mediums such as glass mirror, pen, watercolor, embroidery etc.

Inspired by the textiles of Gujarat most particularly from the region of Kutch. The detailed patchwork, Abhala (glass mirrors with embroidery) and the unique bright colours comes together to create a contemporary fashion that lives till date. There are mainly four unique Kutch embroidery styles known as Rabari, Ahir , Mochi and Mutwa either done on cotton or silk.✨
