Charmi Mehta is an emerging Toronto based artist. Mehta's work mainly reflects on India and its people, places, textile, spirituality and everything that adds positivity to her life. Her style revolves around a feather like symbol inspired by peacock which depicts divinity and strength. She prefers to use different mediums such as glass mirror, pen, watercolor, embroidery etc.
Inspired by Ruth St Denis an American pioneer of modern dance who incorporated Eastern ideas into the art. Her solo dance named ‘Hindu Radha’ where she aimed to translate her understanding of Indian culture to the American dance stage.
